HI,
I am traveling to China later this year visiting Shaghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.
Which of these would be the best place to buy small PC parts such as memory sticks, video cards etc? Better still what is the name of a market/shop?

In Beijing, the best place is Zhongguancun.
in shanghai, you can buy in the pacific digital Shop. There is one in the Xujiahui metro station of No.1 line, another one is near the Dongfanglu metro station of no.2 line |

I think Hong Kong will be your best bet. If you're looking for non-Chinese-brand-name products, the prices will be the lowest in Hong Kong, out of these 3 cities.
In Shanghai, there're 2 places that you should be checking out. One is BuyNow, at exit no.10 of Xujiahui metro stop on line 1. Another is Hong Kong Electronics Mall, diagonally opposite exit no.2 of Huangpi Nanlu metro stop, also on line 1. |
