I'll be in Beijing next week, and Im travelling with my mother, so we both want to visit the great wall, but I don't konw if we should go to Badaling, Mutainyu or Simatai.

We are not into Tours, and will be willing to take a bus or a taxi.

I know this question has been posted before, but will be greatful if you give me your opinions.

Either Simatai or Mutianyu will be good, Badaling is way too touristy. If you hire a taxi for the trip, it'll be cheaper for a round-trip to Mutianyu (max 300 RMB) than to Simatai (max 450 RMB).
