For my next great trip I am planning on visiting China. I would veruy much like to find a few 'low-key' areas to visit (i.e. not visited by lots of tourists).
I am looking for a cool Skiing location and-or some secluded beach areas.
Any suggestions?? A tight budget, as always, applies !!

If you want to experience minority culture, I'd suggest
North-Western Guangxi: Sanjiang, Longsheng
North-western Yunnan: Dali, Lijiang, Zhongdian, Deq
South-East Guizhou- Kaili, Rongjiang, Congjiang, Zhaoxing
Xinjiang-Kashgar,Turpan,Urumqi
These places are great places to travel on a budget. Expect to spend only 50-80 yuan per day!!!!
Cool cheap skiing location: Nanshan, near Urumqi in Xinjiang province.
