Hi Group, I am going to Shanghai next week, never been there, I understand that most flights land in Pudong and they have 'metros' running from the aiport?
Are there any signs in English?
My plane will be landing about 730 at night, are these metros convienent, close to the airport?
Any good spots to visit in Shanghai, I understand that some cities are far from each other like hongqiao, puxi, thanks for any advice!! |

There is no metro at the Pudong airport, you can take maglev express train from airport and get off at Longyang Metro station, change metro at Longyang.
Please be noted that the last maglev train is 9:00pm. |

As I always suggest to those foreign to Shanghai, the best way from Pudong Airport (PVG) to downtown Shanghai is either via taxi or by airport bus.
From PVG to downtown by taxi can cost you about RMB140 (about $1 .
So it will make sense if you travel in a small group or with lots of luggages.
For die-hard budget travellers, taking an airport bus to downtown only costs you about RMB30~40, which is approximate US$4~5.
You can leave your backpack in the undercarridge compartment and surely you can have a seat on the bus. I believe the bus running till the last incoming arrival flight. So, no worry on the time schedule.
