We are hoping to visit Beijing in March and are looking for advice on airlines who offer good priced flights from Bangkok to Beijing.
We are also looking for flights from Beijing to Xian. Can this easily be done and is it cheap?
If anyone can help - or can recommend travel agencies who could help with the booking of the internal flights it would be much appreciated.

The cheapest bet is using Bangkok Air from Bangkok to Xi'an. They only have weekly flights (may have changed since July) Usually, there airpass works out the cheapest, You have to buy 3 minimum 3 coupons. Enquire about this before you leave, they have many representative offices around the world and you can only get it through them.
Flights on the Beijing to Xian route are a plenty because of most of tourists using it. Chinese airfares in China are fixed by the CACC (Avaition authority) and then are discounted depending on time of travel. Most hotels in China book tickets for you and flights during different times of the day are priced accordingly (cheper to fly off peak). I'm not sure about the price but usually its twice as much as Hard sleeper trains but obviously quicker. all operate very modern aircraft (mostly Boeing 737).
