I would like to ask about the weather. How often does it snow in Beijing? Is long johns really necessary?

It doesn't snow very often in Beijing. Lat year it surprised us by coming early in November, but just twice, and then again maybe once in january, but that was it! But the weather is still very cold regardless of the snow as there are strong winds coming from the Siberian Desert. So yes, long johns are necessary. I have never worn myself as I can't bring myself to do it, but I know the whole of china does!!!
