Hi everyone.

Im planing to go to China in a few months. I have been there once before. Went to Beijing and Xian.

This time im thinking of taking a flight to Beijing and then go northwest to visit the Gobi Desert on the chinese side of the Mongolian border. Has anyone of you guys been there? Is there exiting stuff to see or sholud i totaly avoid the area? let me know if its worth going and what there is to do and see. Thanks very much in advance./

I think there is more exciting stuff to see in the north-western part of china than in the north-east. I always recommend people go to xinjiang, where there is dessert and anything. but you must go beyond urumuqi, the capital and go deeper in the area and you will come face to face with a fascinating land. the part of xinjiang extending to pakistan is wonderful. and the part beyond the border in the pakistan side is even more amazing. unforgettable experience and scenary!!!!!
