Money Exchange for a trip in China |
|
|
I was wondering what is the best way to organise money in China
Here are the options:
-Cash Advance from ATM (do Chinese ATMs accept foreign cards?)
-Cash (Should I buy $US or will I be able to change $Australian easily?)
-Travellers Cheques (These are probably safer than cash as I don't want to carry too much currency on me)
Ideally I'd like to be able to withdraw money from my account as I go, but I need to know if this is possible in China. |

I always used Visa debit in China no problem. Except when the card was swallowed! Normally no problem though. Traveller's checks can be used too and I am sure Oz notes'll be no problem.
ATMs best option though. Many hotels will let you draw money on your credit card too, but charge a high rate for it. |
