Booking domestic travel within China |
|
|
Hello, I have read some threads concerning domestic travel agents in China such as Elong and c-trip. However, when I travel there in a few months, I am going to be on an extremely tight schedule and so I would like to confirm all my domestic flights prior to leaving North America.
Has anyone booked domestic flights within China using U.S. based online agencies such as expedia.com or travelocity? If so, what was your experience?
Thanks for sharing your experiences. |

I think you might get a better deal booking flights while you are in china. a lot of american websites do not offer domestic flights in china, i have tried that before.trains and buses are cheap too. if you have a few months, you do not always have to take flights.
If you book Chinese domestic flights using expedia or travelocity, you will be paying much, much more than you would if you booked them in China. I checked out a flight from Beijing to Chengdu on travelocity years ago and it was like $190 for a one-way ticket. I bought the same ticket in Beijing for around Y550 ($68USD). |
