The flight from Beijing to Hong kong will never be cheap,but it will be various depending on what time you start. I suggest you fly to Shen Zhen,in Chinese "深圳". At the moment,the flight from Beijing to Shenzhen only 300yuan to 400yuan(about USD$45-50),from Shen Zhen,you can take the bus or taxi to Luohu Customs,from there you clear into Hongkong. It will not cost you more than 500yuan.Take the early flight to ShenZhen.
The time to Shen Zhen will be 3-4 hours.
