I know suzhou is known for its many parks & gardens, but if I only have one day for that, which is the one or two 'must-see' gardens?
Also, is there a nice mountain/hill worth visiting? Thanks. |

If you need two must see, visit the following two.
The largest: Zhuo Zheng Yuan (The Humble's Garden)
From my personal opinion: The largest provides a grand view of the garden architecture of Suzhou, where you can understand how ancient rich Chinese combine the nature(plants, stones, water and building) together.
The finest: Wang Shi Yuan (Fishman's Garden)
This is one of my favorite in Suzhou. It's no neat to see everything from one spot. Sitting on the stone, you have a view to the whole garden, including water, building and plants. You can meditate in front of the pool for a moment without being bothered.
Hope you can enjoy those two in Suzhou. |
