I am a girl living in Kunming,working as a Human Resource Manager.I notice that many foreigners like to live in Kunming,some of them just travel here, some also work here,could you please tell me what attract you in Kunming? the weather? the food? or diversities cultures?I am going to write a short article called : the reason of fall in love with Kunming.

Kunming was my first experience of China... I loved it... Of course when I arrived, it was the national holiday, so people were quietly walking, there was no traffic, people seemed to have a good sense of living.
Even if you do not speak Chinese, the people try to explain you in Chinese with gestures... very friendly.
What I liked also, but maybe that is true everywhere in CHina, is that tourism is not formatted for foreigners... because most of tourists are Chinese.
Kunming center is not so big, and well organized, not yet so polluted. We feel confortable there.
It is sad that the old houses are being destroyed step by step and replaced by shopping centers... a part of the history is disappearing.....
There are also some small steets like Shangi that reminded me the place where I lived in Paris, in the summer. And of course Kunming is a good start to visit Yunnan that is so rich...
I had no idea about Kunming before landing there, I imagined it like Bangkok... But I was wrong... it's ten times better.... not so polluted, less noisy, better climate,
