Urumqi to Turfan |

I had visited XinJiang back in 2003 and I want to take my family to Xinjiang for vacation (Turfan, Urumqi) in May 2006. Can someone tell me 1. Ease of renting driver and medium size car in Urumqi for a 2 days trip to Turfan (8 sights) 2. How long is the 190km drive from Urumqi to Turfan (There were lots of highway constructions back in 2003). 3. Any other recommendations will be approciated . Thanks in advance. |

Urumqi to Turpan - only 2 hours by car services |

According to a recent visitor to XinJiang, it takes only 2 hours by car service to go from Urumqi to Turpan since the Expressway was completed last year. Also, his recommended hotel: Turfan Da FanDian. |
