[Train Ride From Kunming t]

Just in early Oct this year, a small group of us when to Kunming for our annual golf holiday. 3 of us decided to extend our holiday to Dali/Lijiang/Shangri-la thereafter. We decided to take an overnight train from Kunming to Dali. This was my 1st overnite public train ride in China.
We were bunked in a 6-bed compartment and I was allocated to a 2nd level bed. Next to our compartment was a group of 6 locals( probably a family ) of 4 elderly men + 3 elderly women. When sleeping time neared, all except 1 of the younger woman, stripped to their underpants and proceed to bed. They slept soundly till the next morning when the train arrived at Dali. They put back their outer long pants and left the train.
It was quite weird for me. But is this normal ??
I couldn't sleep the whole night and sat at the corridor of the train watching the beautiful full moon.

most of the chinese people who are from the low level of society think this is the normal when the upper class think it is rather werid as u think.
if it is seems to be public place they shouldn't do it. about therir snore i can't say bad or good as they cannot contral it.
I hope u will understand and being a commodious when u travel arround the china
