questions on travel from Shanghai or Nanjing? |

we will be visiting both Hangzhou and Suzhou. Are we better off returning to Shanghai to catch a train to xian or should be go from Suzhou to Nanjing, see the city and then take a train to Xian? |

In October I travelled by plane from Xian to Nanjing and bus to Suzhou and Shanghai.
I think it is well worth seeing Nanjing for one or two days and then go onto Xian. Nanjing is very much a Chinese city different from Xian, Shanghai and Beijing. |
