I've checked out the weather sites and seen that on average, Shanghai's average low is 1c and the high 31c. I saw that the average precipitation is 114cm. That seems like a lot of rain, though most of it appears to fall during summer (according to the weather sites). But what about humidity? Is Shanghai very humid? And if so, during which months?

Summer is of the highest humidity while Autumn is the lowest. In other seasons, if it rains continuously for a long time, the humidity will rise up but it will drop down to normal situation soon after the weather returns fine and sunny.
