where is the best place in beijing to buy a digital camera and an i-pod. will it be much cheaper than britain.
also very modern clothes for 3 daughters

I'd say going to the chain stores for DC, such as Dazhong Electronics, or Gome Electronics. There are over 10 locations all over Beijing, and they offer very competitive prices.
As for clothing, the silk street is always an option, or you may want to try Jiayi Market, opposite to Kun Lun Hotel, if you're looking for high quality knock-offs. For department stores, I like Pacific Department, or if you're staying in the west side, Sogo offers a good variety too.
