Beijing during Chinese New Year |

I will be traveling to Beijing, for the first time, during Chinese New Year (Feb, '05). I have no idea what to expect, and am uncertain about changes in hotel prices; closed tourist sites; other limitations.
I am also very interested in witnessing traditions from this important holiday. I'm not sure where to find information about any special events.
If anyone has advice about any of these issues, I'd more than apprecicate it. |

There will be no tourist sites closing during our Spring Festival(Chinese New Year). During this holiday, many many people go out for a vacation, people will crowd into a lot of places, so no tourist site will miss the chance of making money.
The ticket, hotel prices will be more expensive than other days. And it is not easy to buy a train ticket during the holiday.
Temple Fair is one of the imortant traditional event during our Spring Festival. |
