trains during daytime |

Hi, my name is Karl and I will be in China in about a week. We want to travel from Beijing to Xian, on to Chengdu, to Kunming and from there to Hanoi.
1) Can anyone tell me if it is hard to get train tickets for daytime trains?
2) From what station in Beijing would the rather slow daytime trains leave for Xian?
3) Is it possible to make a seat reservation in these trains?

there is only one train station in beijing city ,if you say train station all taxi drivers take you .
you certainlly can get the dayly train ticket .also with seat ,don't worry much.
