which is better to be completed tour arround China |

This is quite a general post. My friend and I are planning on going to China this summer. We are stuck choosing between the grand China adventure and the China odyssey. Has anyone done these and can offer some feedback? or is anyone planning on doing one of these trips in the summer? One of my worries with the grand adventure is the Tiger Leaping Gorge because I am just of average fitness, howver I would love to see Dali and Kumning as well, perhaps a combo with Yunnan explorer.
Anyway any advice would be lovely

Hard choice you've got there! Comes down to whether you want to trek Tiger Leaping Gorge and ride horses or cruise the Yangtze River.
If you're worried about the trekking - it is not too difficult. There are a couple of hours of walking up (and subsequently down again), but if you are reasonably fit and healthy, you won't find it too hard. Make sure you do some walking before you go and you'll be fine. Dali is a great place - it's brilliant to be able to eat 'normal' food again in the cafes(ie hot chocolate, banana pancakes etc). Kunming is OK, not an awful lot to see...it's really just the gateway to Tiger Leaping Gorge.

Hi,
Dali and Kunming is my dreamland too, though I am a Chinese, but I don't have the chance to get there,however, Yunnan is really a fantastic place to visit!!! Finally, hope you can visit China ,and have a good time here......
