I would like to know where in Hanoi should i go first to cross the border of china-vietnam?
is there any train/bus from vietnam to Nanning? how much and what's the schedule?
where can I get the train ticket in Hanoi?

The official address – Floor 3, Gunagxi Investment Building, 109 Minzu Dadao – was not, as of 2004 DEC 24, functioning.
The Consul is presently operating from his apartment on Floor 21, Building C, 115 Minzu Dadao.
It is difficult for NanNing taxi drivers to locate, therefore call 0138-7710-0849 and he will direct you/your taxi driver - he speaks reasonable English and fluent Chinese.
As of 2004 DEC 24 the fees were: 3 days - 400RMB 1 day – 500RMB. may be good to know that bus nr 6 will get you very near the embassy, for 1Y. Just take that bus at the Nanning Train Station, you will go south first, then east along Minzu Dadao, and shortly after crossing the bridge over the river you get to a crossroads with something like a park on your left, and several high-rises in front of you. Get off there, cross the street, and walk about 100m further east till you see the Guangxi Investment Building on your left - the consul is operating from there again.
