travel from Kunming to Hanoi by train or by bus? |

I wnna know whether a train still does the Kunming to Hanoi route. Is this train still running, or is the only option the bus. If the bus is the option, does anyone know how long this takes. Is it quicker or slower than the train.
I heard the train can take 16 hours from Kunming to the border. Is the Bus faster?
If anyone has information that would be great |

There is one train between Kunming and Hanoi, two each week.. If the train is unavailable, you can take the open bus. Daily bus takes over 10 hours and costs less than US$24, but the condition of the bus is really bad.

Hanoi to Vietnam port old street: about 10 hours, and $6-8. And do remember to take the bus of the travel company not the one of the local!
And then take bus from China Hekou Train Station if through the Pass. To Kunming, about RMB100 and around 12 hours for the berth.
From the Chinese Port to the Station of Hekou, it would only take 3 minutes, and easily to find if ask help from others. |
