We will be flying in from Hong Kong to Kunming on February 18, 2005 and would like to travel by train from here to Hekou to cross international border to Lao Cai. We must be in Sa Pa (on Vietnam side) by 10-23-2005 to photograph the minority people celebrating first full-moon of the lunar calendar year.
Please advise us:
- Any helpful website for staying, spending time in Kunming during this short stay (we don't take tours, no guide, and no Chinese language).
- How to obtain train tickets. Should we contact some agency to buy in advance, or just go to the station on 10-18-05 to purchase?
This is our photo trip. Please give us any experience and advice you could share. Thank You.
