trying to do something while travelingl along these lines? |

Please, please can someone advise, I'm starting my first trip soon all by little self, arriving in Beijing 1st Oct and just a tad scared. I really want to go to Tibet and from there I have to make it to Shanghai rather than carry on into Nepal...
I'm hoping to do this (I'm probably hoping to do too much as it's such vast distances but I'm living in hope)
Beijing - Datong - Pingyao - Xi'an - Xiahe - Lhasa - Chegdu - Emei Shan - Yangzi River - Shaolin - Shanghai
Anyone done something similar or fancy hooking up and trying to do something along these lines?
Anyone recommend any helpful hostels on the way?
Or just tell me I'm stetching myself too much and should just have a big rethink.....
Help.... |

This is a very common route and one month is not enough time, sorry. With that being said don't cut anything out, give yourself more time. It will cost a lot less than comming back. If it is a money thing find the cash. You coudl drop Shaolin I guess, it is a bit of a tourist trap but I would replace with more of the south, hiking around Yang..
if keep day tour and night rout ,maybe you can saved a lot of time by taking night trains in China.night train ,night bus and night flight is more in china
have a good tour |
