Hi my wife and I are to visit Shanghai 14/10 to 23/10 in 2005 and we are looking for an English speaking guide that can help us get to the lake district particularly Kunshan, Suzhou, Wuxi and perhaps Zhenjiang. We were thinking of hiring a car perhaps with driver and spending 5 days out of Shanghai then 2-3 days doing the tourst thing in the city. We are interested in scenery, people, markets, canals, etc mainly for photography. We are experiened travellers and we' ve been to places like Tibet and other Asian countries.
We are not so much interested in a budget tour but rather one where we can individual contact with people. We'd like to see silk weaving, pottery making, canals, winding streets, local people, getting up a dawn, going to the best spots to see the scenery. And a little bit of the historic part of China.
If you or someone you know can help please reply to us. We will require references.
