Travelling from Hong Kong to KL |
|
|
Hi there,
My boyfirend and I will be in Hong Kong in Jan '06 and need to get down to KL - any suggestions on the best way to do this tour, internationall flights from the UK seem really expensive and overland looks like it will eat too much into our trip.
Any suggestions or half way flights that would make it easier (and cheaper)? Anyone done this trip? |

hi my advice is to Fly Jet Star Airlines from Hong Kong to Singapore, I'm getting the flight for €65 one way. Or try Valuair but I found them more expensive.
Then either get a bus (4 hours - €15-25) or a train (7 hours over night for I think about €20 sleeper there are day trains as well) up to Kuala Lumpur.
Check out the train timetables at KTM - malaysian train operator but i find this website a little screwy, sometimes you can check info and sometimes not.
Also Seat 61 is really useful for getting from A to B by train but you will need to double check prices, i found that they had increased. |
