travel via Kunming to Tibet, What’s real? |
|
|
I'm trying to come up with my itinerary tour for China and Tibet. It appears that Chengdu is the primary route to Tibet but it would work better for me if I can go via Kunming.... What’s real? I will be using planes, trains and buses… Flying the longer distances. Is this reasonable?Hong Kong, Yangshuo, Guilin, Xian, Chengdu, Lijiang, Dali, Kunming, Lhasa Or is some doubling back like this necessary?Hong Kong, Yangshuo, Guilin, Xian, Chengdu, Kunming, Lijiang, Dali, Kunming, Chengdu, Lasa Thanks for your thoughts…… |

It sounds like a great tour itinerary...give yourself a decent amount of time in Lijiang, it's a great place to relax... I know there are some road trips from Lijiang through the mountains into Tibet but they're only during select times as snow, rain, and other conditions can prevent passage... I saw on a website that there are 4wd trips from Kunming... http://www.accesstibettour.com/travel-to-tibet.html
But your trip is good and advice you to take plane from Chengdu to Lhasa that you can arrive quick and directly.
have a good tour |
