recommend a travel agency for a trip of Hongkong-NewZealand? |

A friend of mine wants to fly to tour from Brussel to Hongkong and then check out travel agencies for a flight to New Zealand. He has heard that you can get very cheap flights from Hongkong. Is this true? If so, can anyone recommend a good travel agency? Are there good value travel agencies in Singapore also?

On this airline tour,I don't think flights to NZ are ever very cheap if purchased close to time. There are only a few airlines flying this route so not a lot of competition. Two that I know for sure are AirNZ & Cathay Pacific. He might get a cheaper overall flight if he tried Virgin to SYD & then any trans Tasman airline. Another good source of flight info is Zuji

There are sometimes promotions during low season but those flights are not cheap as a rule. The cheapest would be group tickets with zero flexibility and no miles.
I suggest you get a flight with stopover in Hong Kong (possibly to Australia) and just buy the last leg separately, as #1 suggests. |

Cathay Pacific is selling flight+3 nights hotel to Auckland for HK$6299.-, fuel surcharge and airport tax not included. It is approximately HK$ 900.- Browse http://www.cxholidays.com/chl/r/group/familyaust Your friend can book on-line. Problem with "cheap" flights from Hong Kong is that travel agents there are not honest with their promotions and the final price including everything (taxes and fictitious extras) is quite a bit higher. My guess is Bangkok is a better place. As for flying to Australia first - they require onward ticket before issuing visa. |
