Can anyone tell me if there is a night train between Nanjing and Xi’an? On
. However, if I search for a night train between Shanghai and Xi’an it shows a train that makes a stop in Nanjing. If anyone is familiar with these matters can you confirm if there is or if there is not a night train between Nanjing and Xi’an. If there is not then I am in trouble with my tour

No doubt the Shanghai-Xi'an train does stop in Nanjing. It at least used to be a little tough to get a sleeper ticket when you are not getting on at the first stop, so I recommend using a travel agent and trying to buy it several days ahead or as soon as you arrive in Nanjing.
The T112/113 starts at Nanjing Xi (Nanjing West station) and stops at Xi'an then route to Lanzhou.Departure time is 16:33 from Nanjing West and 16:56 from Nanjing Station, arriving Xi'an at 06:04 the next morning.These times are based on the 2004.4.18 schedule so the current timings may be slightly different.

Thanks for your input! One other thing. Do the night trains operate on a daily schedule? i.e is it possible that the train only runs every second day or something like that (in which case I may not get on a train on the night of my choice). |
