Planning a trip to China in Nov (yes it will be cold....)
But will enter from Almaty to Urumqi. Does anyone have information on
- How long it takes by bus or train?
- The cost?
- Where to catch the bus or train in Almaty?
- which is a preferred option?
Any other information? |

I know the reverse off-hand: it's 2358 from Urumqi which arrives Almaty 0733 two days later. It only departs on Mondays and Saturdays though. The Thomas Cook timetable also mentions a bus but they have no information on timings. I'd take the train any day. |
