suggestions on travel from Pakistan to Tibet to Nepal to Ind |

Inquiring about travel to Tibet from Pakistan by land and exiting Tibet to Nepal onto India. I have a double entry six month China visa, double entry six month India visa, single entry Pakistan visa. NO Tibet special permit. I don't want to use my India visa, if I can help it, until I exit Nepal to India. I have also been traveling for almost two years from North America and haven't had to use an airplane, would like not to use one to get into Tibet. China embassy says I may enter China from Pakistan's northern border and Pakistan embassy says I may exit Pakistan on their northern border to China, 22.07.05.
Any suggestions on travel route/transport from Pakistan to China/Tibet?
Any suggestions about Tibet special permit hurdle on an independent frugal budget entering Tibet on its western border?
Any suggestions about obtaining a Nepal visa and entering Nepal from Tibet?
Presently in Ankara, Turkey in "Traveler's Purgatory" sorting out travel logistics if there is anything I could do while I am here.
Living a life of long shots...Cheers |

option1:No open borders between (indian) Kashmir and Tibet. You can cross from Pakistan through the Karakorum to China, from there to Tibet and then to Nepal. Check your pm.
option2:it's a dangerous route going to Tibet from Karghelik. make sure you spend lots of time very high up in Pakistan and don't dilly dally in Xinjiang before going for it. keep a low profile and you may just get lucky and make it to Ali, from where it's smooth sailing. |
