Questins on travelling in Beijing and Xian to Lhasa |
|
|
I am planning a trip to China in a few months. there are a few questions I have to plan a bit better, any help will be greatly appreciated.
• What is weather like in Tibet during the first half of October?
• What is weather like in Beijing during the last half of September?
• Can you obtain a permit to travel into Tibet from Xi an? I am aware you can obtain one in Chengdu… however, I am hopping the only time I spend in Chengdu is the time waiting in the airport for my flight to Lhasa.
• Can you recommend a good company that organizes trekking trips in Tibet? I am especially interested on a trip to Everest base camp.

it has a good climate during the October, less warm and less cold ,if you are healthy you don't need extra clothes
Weather in Beijing at end of Sept is usually excellent, comfortable, dry.
Chengdu is a cool city and you may enjoy checking it out while getting a permit there.
If you can get a permit in Xi'an, it's just as likely or more likely you can just get it in Beijing, which is worth considering-- then you will have no worries when you set out. But someone else who responds may not better.
