where should I go on tour to China? |
|
|
My husband and I are planning a trip to China in spring of 2006. Besides Beijing and Shanghai, what are the top 2-3 other cities/areas that we should visit in order to get a well-rounded view of the culture/scenery/etc?
Thanks! |

Have you looked at any Frommer's or Lonely Planet guides yet?
Two cyberspace resources to look at are:
(1) www.virtualtourist.com is kind of like tripadvisor but it's been around many years longer and has tons of photos that go along with tips.
(2) www.wildchina.com is a travel agency's website which is somewhat unique, in my opinion, and has really inspired me [this isn't meant to be a sales pitch, just go look at the pictures!] on different sceneries especially
-Zhangjiajie/Wulingyuan Nature Reserve in Hunan Province
-Guilin & Yangshuo in Guanxi Province
-Huangshan in Anhui Province
(3) After getting inspired to see this or that, be sure to backtrack to www.virtualtourist.com to review all of the reviewers' lists of Bewares and Tourist trap warnings... They look really useful. |
