Horseback riding tour in the grasslands of inner Mongolia |

I am going to Inner Mongolia this weekend with some friends. If anyone wants to join us, please contact me. Also, if you have any tips please feel free to send them my way. We are three students and will try and horseback ride in the grasslands and visit some traditional mongolian villages. We want to stay clear of the tourist traps. |

The best time to visit Hohhot: Between June and September
In a word, it is a cool place to spend summer days.
Sharing Experiences:
1. On the plateau, the temperature varies greatly from morning to evening. Bring coats and sweaters, or rent downcoats as soon as possible.
2. Prepare towels, soaps, toothbrushes and some food.
3. About Horse Riding Activities: Give some fees, about RMB100 to the groom so that you would have a ride with utmost joy. Or he might only allow you to ride on the narrow and short path.
Favorite Spots:
¡î Jinzhanghan Resort: About 40 minutes by bus to Hailar. It is located in a valley of a crooked river. The landscape is beautiful and the reception condition is good.
¡î Honghuaerji: About three hours to Hailaer by bus. It is near Xing'anling, the place where the plateaus adjoin forests.
¡î Moerdaoge: Enter the forest area by small sized trains. It takes about four or five days to have a good trip here. |
