Can anyone confirm this: is it true that the glacier in Urumqi has now been closed to public?thanks. |

Glacier in Mt. Tianshan is the most famous glacier in Daxigou, the source of the Urumqi River. It is located on the northern slope of Tianger Peak, 4,476 meters above sea level, and is surrounded by other four glaciers. The Urumqi- Highway passes through the No. 1 Glacier, making it an important thoroughfare between the northern and southern parts of Mt. Tianshan. |

Since some information about Tianshan, you can get that glacier is going to be public in Urumqi |
