My daughter has just arrived to Beijing from Denmark. She brought with her mobile phone. In Beijing she bought a new Chinese sim card and got a new phone number, can we call her. Errol |

Well. International SMS is not totally supported by the service here in China to some extent. Your daughter should go and consult the supplier if her card has the function of recieving and sending SMS.

In New Zealand I changed over from Telecom to Vodafone so that my text msg can be received in China. Only problem is they can't send one back. I also had to replace the digits 00 to a + sign before the country area code. Have you had any luck contacting her yet?
Today I have had no problem texting London and receiving a friends msg.  |
