the transport of a trip from Shanghai to Beijing |
I am a Canadian student (temporarily living in Japan) and I will be arriving in Shanghai at Pu Dong airport at 3pm on March 26th. The same day I would like to take an overnight train to Beijing which leaves either at 6pm or 7pm. I would like to buy my ticket that day since it is much too expensive to buy it over the internet or at a travel agent outside of China. Could you tell me what time the train ticket office closes at the Shanghai Railway station or if I can buy a train ticket at the Pu Dong airport.
Also how long does it take to get from Pu Dong to the Railway station via the airport bus? Would you know, for a train to Beijing, which railway station would I have to go to?

As i know, the ticket office of the Shanghai railway station will be open 24 hours. You can certainly buy your ticket at the Pu Dong airport, but you need to pay extra money, about 5-10 yuan,so I suggest you to buy your ticket directly from the railway station. It will take you some 40 mins from Pu Dong to the Railway station via the airport bus.For a train to Beijing, you just simply go to the Shanghai railway station. |
