Jade Palace Hotel and Jin Shan Ling-Simatai great wall trip |

Has anyone stayed at the Jade Palace Hotel in the Haidian District Beijing. If so, would you recommend this Hotel, could you describe a couple likes and dislikes?
Also, has anyone do the Jin Shan Ling to Simatai great wall trek? We were thinking of doing this. We are going at the end of April, will the temperature be nice for a long day hike like this? PAUL |

The Jinshanling Great Wall is not repaired and still keeps its former appearance. This section of the Great Wall is highly recommended if you have enough time and sufficient energy.
The distance between the Simatai and Jinshanling is about 10 kms. It will take you 4 hours or so to walk the whole section.
Reaching the Simatai Great Wall, you have to pay RMB 30 for the admission fee of Simatai. |
