I will be visiting in Kathmandu starting late December and i was
wondering if someone could help me out. I am taking the train from
Beijing to Lhasa then wanted to travel onwards to Kathmandu, either
overland or by plane. Does anyone know whetehr the direct bus link is
open to travellers or would i have to go on one of the expensive
overland tours? If i took the flight option, how much money should I
bring and how often do they fly? |

It is said that the boarder will be open after December 16st. So it is
possible to travel by land to Kathmandu then, but should be in a
package tour, can not take pubic bus. Flight from Lhasa to Kathmandu
is around RMB2500-RMB3000/p.p on each Tuesday and Saturday. |
