Nanning - Hanoi once again |
We are 2 families travelling Shanghai-Hangzhou-Beijing-Nanning. The children are 9 years old. We would like to end the trip in Halong Bay/Cat Ba and go home from Hanoi. The hard part is to cross the border to Vietnam. With 2 children it should not be too straining. At the same time the adults would really like to see this part of Guangxi and the border part by Pingxiang. - Is it true there are trains only twice a week? Morning trains preferable to see the landscape- when in the morning? Train goes through border? When does it arrive Hanoi? Would be greatful for answers! And sorry to Ritchie Lionheart for being so ignorant that I didn't check how far - 300 km and not 60... Thanks in advance! |

I think you can go to Pingxiang by bus. It's not far away from Nanning, maybe 3 or 4 hours by bus. And you can go to Detian to see the second largest waterfall in the world if you have time.
Detian transnational waterfall is a sign of Guangxi, you can't miss it. |
