traveling from Wuhan to Yichang |

I am flying into Wuhan and need to find my way to Yichang for my Yangtze river cruise at the same day. some questions:
1) Is taking the bus from Wuhan to Yichang the quickest and the best way?
2) The long distance bus station at Xinhua road, Hankou. is where I board the bus to Yichang.
3) How often the bus ran from Wuhan to Yichang?
4) How far is the airport to the bus station approximately? |

Actually, the trains are faster and cheaper, but there're only a few departures daily and you might not be able to get a ticket on-the-spot, so most people choose to take the bus.
The airport shuttle will go to Hankou's Jinjiadun (main) long-distance bus station as well as Wuchang's Fujiapo long-distance bus station. Both of these stations (among others, of course) have plenty of departures to Yichang, fare could be 95 or 140 RMB depending on the type of vehicle they use. Frequency is no longer than 40 mins between departures. Or is there a specific need for you to use the Hankou Xinhua Lu long-distance bus station.
I think it's about 23 km to Jinjiadun (main) long-distance bus station, 25 km to Xinhua Lu long-distance bus station, and 35 km to Fujiapo long-distance bus station. |

Just came back from my trip.
Nice Volvo buses leave from Hankou's Xinhua Lu long-distance bus station at 0730, 0830, 0930, 1130, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1800 and 2000. These cost 130 RMB.
Cheaper (95 RMB) departures from the same place at 0800, 0900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1330, 1430, 1630, 1730, 1830. |
