Backpackers is strongly reccomended. It's near the Forbidden grave and Forbidden City, and The Temple of Haven by bus. The subway station is only 30 minutes on
foot, and public facilities such as banks,International post office, and supermarkets are
very near. So, it's not a bad choice indeed.
Good luck! |

I stayed in the Zenh Hostel just a few weeks ago (April 2008). My
experiences are ...
1. Zen Hostel is a nickname for Jin'an Hotel.
2. It is a Chinese Hotel. It is 2 stars. Most of the guests are Chinese.
3 The photographs presented on the Zen website do indeed show these rooms.
4 This hotel is no way anywhere near 5 minutes from Tian'anmen Square nor The Temple of
Heaven. It is a minimum 30-40 minutes walk to both of these sites. A taxi will cost about
Overall. This hostel isn't upfront about what it was. If you carefully pay attention to the
letter of the advertisement', the Zen Hostel actually lives up to what it states. The
level of service and facilities is minimal and you can get far better places in Beijing
paying similar money.
I wouldn't stay there again. Nor would I recommend that you do. |
