I'm going 2 visit Beijing withmy few friends from England in July.Do anyone have any recommendations on what to see and do? becoz we only have a few days, it's going to be a pretty tight schedule.
We're interested chinese food. Read about the quanjude duck restaurant. How accessible is it if you don't speak any chinese? Do we need to print out the chinese charachters for the stuff we want to order? |

You certainly won't have a problem with that. If you are in the main
tourist you will find that they have a menu in English , however you have two choices get someone to write in Chinese what you want and take
it with you.We also saw that they had red and
white Chinese wine, not expensive and quite good.
Be relaxed about it all and enjoy your time there, make sure you leave time to do a little shopping.
Have fun. |

GuiJie is a whole street of restaurants, almost all are quite good. I went there before. Most of places have menus with English translations. |

I had the duck at Quan ju de restaurant last September. There're basically 2 choices on the menu - duck or duck, depending on how many
people.
Both come with little appetizers and cucumber salad . The menu is in
English. The food was very tasty! If you're not staying
near there, ask the hotel waiter to write the name in Chinese. |
