I have no idea on using the train in China |
|
|
I'm travelling in China in late August through to September. I'd like 2
find out:
- How I should book tickets in advance
- Wot times trains there're 4 my preferred route
- If there're any probs with the route I've chosen
It is as follows:
Shenzhen - Guilin - Nanchang - Huangshan - Shanghai - Xian - Beijing - Hohhot -
Beijing - Hong Kong
dates are: leaving HK on August 29th, staying in beijing between
sep 12th-17th and returning to Hongkong by 24th september
I'd really appreciate any advice
Thanks |

Well, u should be prepared, becoz trains can be overbooked at that time, but still, there're lots of trains every day anywhere per hour. I don't know any other way to book the tickets except buying it in travel agency.
I think, there're 2 many destinations in such a short time on your plan. There's nothing in Hohhot anyway:) I have been to Hohhot . |

You're certainly zigzagging across China - Guilin and Xi'an are in the west, Shanghai .Beijing in the east. Personally I didn't notice any difference in comfort level, You can't usually book tickets more than about a week in advance, not online either, and you can't
usually book tickets in a different province either. Best thing is to queue up as soon as |
