Beijing Tour Itinerary |

I want itinerary for 6 days 5 nights visit to Beijing. Most probably I will arrive in the afternoon.
I am on my holiday so the purpose of this tour are eating, shopping and visiting historical places.
However I am not quite sure if 6 days 5 nights are enough to visit the places I listed below. Anyway everthing can still be change as this is just at planning stage.
Places that I plan to visit are Tiananmen Square, Great Wall (Mutianyu or Simatai section), Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Beijing Zoo, Wangfujing Street, visit to Hutong, watch Beijing Opera, Bell and Drum Towers, Beihai Park, Liulichang Street, Niujie (Ox Street) Mosque.
I need recommendations of budget accomodation that is really near attraction places/shopping area. My budget is RMB200-300.
What is the name of the famous Beijing restaurant to have roast duck and local snacks?
Thank you. |

Skip Beijing zoo, no need to visit that dismal place.
What time are you arriving and departing?
Are you looking for dorm, bed or private room? How many of you are there?
Da Dong would be a good place to eat Peking duck,by the way u can click : http://www.thebeijinger.com/directory/venue/Da-Dong-Roast-Duck/114 |

I was thinking of arrive at 1300 on Oct 2nd and depart on 1500 on Oct 6th. As for room, there's 3 of us and would prefer private room. |

Tian'anmen is at the front of Forbidden City, and Beihai Park is at the back (or side, I forget). The Summer Palace is quite a way out.
Most famous Peking Duck place is "quan ju de kao ya" which is quite near Tiananmen. It's enormous, seats maybe 3000 (in smallish rooms) so no need to book.
Is that 250RMB per head or altogether? I usually stay in a 3-star hotel near the railway station, called Zhong An and I think I paid 220 a night (3 years ago). Or there is a hostel nearish too. |

For your own benefit I would strongly suggest that you consider changing your travel dates. Try the 2nd half of October, if possible. |
