Explanation CHINA VISA !
If I Fly to Hong Kong and then travel on to Tibet do I need a VISA for either Hong Kong or China Mainland?

I'm sure no need HK visa for UK Nationals and some other nationalities . But you need visa for china . I read about visa on the page of http://www.muztagh.com/china-visa/faq-of-china-visa.htm

I think you receive a visa-on-arrival for Hong Kong.
You will need to apply in advance for a China visa.

If you need visa to enter china[hong kong]then you need a second entry visa to enter china mainland, when i was there[china mainland] i had only 1 entry visa to china,how ever when i then traveled to hongkong from china mainland and tried to renter china mainland i then had to buy a second ertry visa for china ,this was around £70 in 2007,they dont seem to tell you this untill you are there and cant then return.......... sneaky trick hey!
