Hi !
These summer I' m planning to go to Tibet. I will start the trip in Kathmandu and arrive in Lhasa via overland (it's a 8 days trip).
Does nobody have experience with the agency Tibet Travels & Tours (p) Ltd (Mr. Kalden Norbu)? is it a reliable agency ?
Thanks |

Last pring there were some problem in Tibet because some American
activist doing protest near base camp in Tibet, so many tourist intend to go there were turned away.
I heard that the border crossing in Nepal Tibet is closed to foreign tourist.
Check with the Chinese cunsulate first before you buy any land tour to Tibet. It required special permit not just Visa.
The following link is a news report of what was talked about above.

Actually last year i travelled the same route from KTM to Lhasa, though the aclimatization was not so good even i was in Tibet before.
AS for me I took a tour from tibetctrip.com and it was the right choice, about this company i haven't heard so sometimes it's better to check and apply for itinerary from several companies , compare , and rely on the experience from people who is online and had experience through
better to travel from tibet to KTM, because when u travel in tibet from mainland, just permit is enough, while from KTM, you have to join a group to get a group visa. much trouble. And go from lhasa to Nepal, good to high latitude aclimatization.
I will be in tibet this March.
if u have any question, feel free to let me know.
