China/Macau/HK Visa? |
|
|
I'm planning to visit China this year and floating about south east asia for a month or so too and was wondering if my trip is possible.
Can I enter HK on the free 90 day visa, travel to Mainland China on a single entry 90 day tourist visa but leave china via Macau (another free 30 day visa) within the 90 days. Travel around S.E.A., then fly back into Macau, onto HK and home to Ireland from there?
I was speaking to a travel agent and she said that I would have to fly home out of HK within the 90 days of original entry and on the first HK visa. Sounds a bit funny to me this?
Could somebody clear this up for me? |

No one answer your question without knowing your nationalities .
Where are you from ? If you are from Us you don't need visa for Hongkongand Macau but for Mainland China you need visa . |

I think you are Irish because you said Ireland is "home", I'll assume Irish.
For HongKong you don't need a visa in advance and can stay for 90 days on a tourist visa;
However, if you leave and return, then unless both trips fall within 90 days of your first entry, you may not be entitled to a second 90-day stay unless you have stayed outside the country for a certain amount of time .
Note that you are entering Macau twice as well, so if you maintain this itinerary (you could also fly straight back to HK and merely change flights there), you should certainly consult the nearest Chinese embassy, and may well need to get yourself a multiple-entry tourist visa before leaving home. |
