Clothing in July? |
|
|
dear all,
I will be in Tibet in July, and I am wondering if someone could offer a suggestion about outerwear. I was thinking that a fleece would be fine for the evening, but some people have suggested that I would need warmer gear-- including wool hat/mittens.
If someone has been to Tibet in July, can you offer any suggestions?
I will only be in Lhasa and surrounding areas (no camping), then overland to Kathmandu.

It depends on where in Tibet you going and how used you are to cold weather. A fleece jacket is sufficient for most places. if going to Nam Tso lake and Everest it can be cold at night and mittens are nice then. No need to shop around at home. bring a fleece, a wind- and waterproof jacket, windstopper fleece mittens, a broadbrimmed hat or cap (the sun do really burn at that altitude!). It can be rainy weather so the rainproof jacket is usefull.
remember you can buy outdoor clothing in Lhasa. Fake North Face clothers is available about everywhere. |
