South china in January. |

has anyone experienced the climate in Fujian/Guangdong in the first half of January?
I've checked weather-underground etc, so far as I can tell it looks like
10-20 degreesC
overcast, occasional drizzle
not windy but damp cold
I can put up with that to see the sights around Xiamen/Guangzhou (though I've cut Wuyishan/Yangshuo, looks too cold). Have to be in Beijing by mid-Feb anyway.
I'm heading south, aiming to leave China for Vietnam around Jan24 to escape the new year chaos. Then I'm rushing through Vietnam to beat Tet... and flying from Thailand to Beijing. Contorted, no?
